The Revenge of the Sith incarnation of Darth Sidious was able to tool Maul and Savage whilst holding back, and it was made clear from the beginning that Palpatine could one-shot the duo had he elected to do so. There is no reason why they would fare any better here. On a good day, Count Dooku can, at the very best, briefly pressure the likes of Yoda- still, it's implied in Dark Rendezvous that the gap between the Count and RotS Sidious is massive, a notion corroborated in TCW. Against a far more powerful version of Sidious, Tyranus is hopeless. Then we have Darth Vader, who Sidious brought to his knees via telepathy circa The Empire Strikes Back. Yes, Vader had not reached his peak, but the same can be said for Palpatine, who in Return of the Jedi killed prime Vader with a couple of stray lightning bolts. Lastly, there's... Galen Marek.
Large quantities of fodder can't do anything against an individual infinitely more powerful than them. Sidious wins rather comfortably.

Well I mean I am a sheev supremacist, but much like Talzin tooling Dooku in TCW, Vader has a damn good excuse. Firstly what the F*ck is he to do when sheev did that in Heir to the Empire? He could take the Vitiate approach and decide to walk to his death. He could try and resist Sheev which would piss sheev off prompting Sidious to send the full might of the empire down on his head. Sheev has all the advantages, on top of the fact that if you actually read the passages, Vader wasn't expecting that, and it only happens for a second. A fully fledged Vader in his prime is likely superior or on the level of the masters of Telepathy. I don't think people realize how impressive ROTJ luke is, and he mindraped luke took his info on his sister, and then taunted him about it. He could try and resist the assault- yes, such a course of action would aggravate Sidious, but Vader has no reason to allow telepathic attacks on his person to be carried out with no resistance whatsoever. Secondly, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi are only one year apart; while Vader does enjoy power growth from Empire to Return, there is no indication that this increase is vast. Sidious, on the other hand, reached his peak in Dark Empire which takes place six years after Return (seven years after Empire). It is possible that ESB Sidious would be unable to telepathically subdue RotJ Vader, but DE Sidious, the incarnation of the Emperor being discussed in this thread, certainly could do so.

By the way, are you actually serious? Where and when did Vader "mindrape" RotJ Luke? If you're referring to the duel on Death Star II, then all Vader did was extract pieces of information from an extremely nervous Luke that was thinking about Leia. Mindrape is something completely different.

Lastly, even if you want to exclude the telepathy showing, the gargantuan crevasse between Sidious and Vader is still made abundantly clear. A few stray bolts from Palpatine's unfocused burst of lightning were enough to kill Vader. Note that when this occurred, Vader was in his stated prime, whereas Sidious was still a good distance away from his. We also have DE Sidious disarming a Vader tier in unamped DE Luke within seconds and casually flooring him with lightning. Sorry, peak Palpatine obliterates Vader and this entire team.

OT-What I previously said in this thread.

For clarification, you are talking about when Vader tanked Sidious' lightning long enough to kill him, right?

If one is toying, then one is, essentially, playing with their food, thus making it impossible for one to be utilizing their powers to the fullest extent. But even if Sidious had gone all-out on the duo, his massive superiority became clear from the start, where he immobilized them with telekinesis and only let them go of his own accord- he could have ended the engagement there and then, before lightsabers were even drawn, which again, showcases his gargantuan superiority to the duo. However, he didn't- he let them go. This also indicates that he was playing with them- which is backed up by Filoni's comments on how Sidious was holding the upper hand and "enjoying himself" while doing so.

Again, it's important to note that the duo was blown away by Revenge of the Sith Darth Sidious, an incarnation of the Emperor far less powerful than the one being discussed in this thread.

Furthermore, your statement about Vader "tanking" Sidious' lightning long enough to kill him makes it seem as if Vader walked through Palpatine's lightning and straight up murdered him. No, not really. He picked up a distracted Sidious, got hit by some stray lightning bolts, threw Sidious down a shaft and then... died. Yeah. A half powered lightning blast from Return of the Jedi Darth Sidious was enough to fatally wound Vader- now imagine what a full powered lightning strike from a significantly more powerful iteration of the Emperor- the one being discussed in this thread- could do to him.

Dark Empire Palpatine is far too powerful for this team to successfully strike him down. They all die.

@dark-sith123

As I stated in the other thread though there is massive context to your points. Firstly, as we previously established Vader is ~ Luke Skywalker at the time of ROTJ which gives him full access to Luke's feats. A distracted, exhausted, and defenseless luke was able to parry the lightning of Sidious who was in a superior iteration to ROTS. Why is this important? Well, when ROTS sidious decided to use his torture lightning against Maul, the Zabrak had no defense. He was on the floor screaming for mercy, in contrast a distracted Luke was able to parry (albeit for only a moment) ROTJ sidious's "toying" lightning. However, this little rant of mine, might be slightly off topic, as I completely agree DE sheev wins here Darth Maul, Count Dooku, Darth Vader, Savage Opress and Galen Marek vs DE Darth Sidious 228124001

Luke was not distracted, and his exhaustion is, as of now, unsubstantiated. Furthermore, Luke only parried Sidious' assault momentarily. He was overwhelmed in a few seconds. Palpatine wasn't using his full power either- that lightning assault was clearly designed to torture Luke, not fry him on the spot.

As for Maul, he had already been disarmed, ragdolled and subdued. There was no way in which he could have mounted any possible defense. Luke, on the other hand, was standing up and ready to face Sidious' wrath after turning him down. The comparison is nonsensical.

Darth Maul, Count Dooku, Darth Vader, Savage Opress and Galen Marek vs DE Darth Sidious Screen11

As for luke being exhausted, if you know how Dark Rage works, you know that a force user gets a temporary boost to their power, and then that boost dies away leaving them exhausted most of the time.

Furthermore, Luke only parried Sidious' assault momentarily. He was overwhelmed in a few seconds. Palpatine wasn't using his full power either- that lightning assault was clearly designed to torture Luke, not fry him on the spot.

He was caught off guard... and that same lightning dropped Maul to his knees. If you are going to argue Sidious went all out against Maul you can try that, but it won't work he could have oneshot him if he wanted to.

As for Maul, he had already been disarmed, ragdolled and subdued. There was no way in which he could have mounted any possible defense. Luke, on the other hand, was standing up and ready to face Sidious' wrath after turning him down. The comparison is nonsensical.

Awfully similar to being distracted, disarmed, and possibly exhausted. Yes, he stands up to face sheev in the movie, but he also has no idea what to expect from the emperor. The comic also provides context that he was indeed distracted as I feel I proved Darth Maul, Count Dooku, Darth Vader, Savage Opress and Galen Marek vs DE Darth Sidious 228124001
